Michaels Stores: Father's Day Craft Ideas & Events

Just in the nick of time (Father’s Day is Sunday June 21st), I received an email from Michaels Stores with great Father’s Day craft gift ideas. By subscribing to Michaels newsletter, "The Knack", I receive creative tips and step-by-step instructions to help the kiddos with craft projects. I’m using the word “help” very loosely because well, let’s just say, I’m not a creative person so I’ve been on a steep learning curve for some years now. Thankfully, these are simple and inexpensive crafts which are perfect for this creatively-challenged yet frugal mom.

And since my daughter has been making suggestions about what she’d like to do for her Dad for Father’s Day, she was thrilled to see the suggestions I downloaded right from Michaels website. She’s fully on board to make the Father’s Day Shirt & Tie Card and I figure my son will be just as satisfied creating the Father’s Day Tool Box for his Dad.

Plus, this Sunday, June 14th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, Michaels is offering a “Get Hooked on Dad” event. For just $2.50, kids can purchase a t-shirt and use free art supplies to showcase their creative talents just for Dad. This should be really fun! I'll make sure to share their finished products right here on Treasures of Saving$.
